I have participated in two tastings, at which the wines were fine and well-balanced. The wines were meticulously selected, taking us on a journey through appellations and grape varieties that were sometimes little-known. The approach to tasting is very original and relaxed, with a real emphasis on sharing. Everyone can express their sensations, whether they are a novice or a wine buff, the idea is to communicate and exchange thoughts and feelings about a wine, a flavour, a colour, or a bouquet. I highly recommend it!’

The warm and very professional reception from Hélène’s team made us forget the time as we travelled into the heart of France’s greatest terroirs! Even regions that one might imagine to be less interesting turned out to be full of surprises. ‘But being a winegrower is even more so, in that every year we make a new, different wine and, like an artist, we have to take certain factors into account, such as the location (terroir, orientation, altitude), climate (or microclimate), and the vintage… Each parameter is important, bringing its little extra touch of complexity, and we must do the best we can throughout the year. A successful result is never guaranteed, but it represents a year’s work.’
